The definition of leadership is influence, and everything rises and falls on leadership.

This is a ridiculously short clip to convince you that wherever you are in your life journey, you have the potential to become a leader, and that leadership doesn’t naturally come with time or age. Leadership can be developed and improved by anyone.

There are broadly five levels of leadership. They are

1. Position. People follow because they have to. You have the title.
2. Permission. People follow because they want to. You have built relationships.
3. Production. People follow because of what you have done in the organisation. You deliver results.
4. People Development. People follow you because of what you have done for them. You are reproducing leaders.
5. Pinnacle. People follow you because of who you are and what you represent. Your reputation and influence have spread. This level requires time on level 4.

I would like to move you out of the dreaded level one, and guide through the steps to levels three and four.
I have had experience at every level at various stages of my life, and one thing I have learned is that when opportunity comes it’s too late to prepare.
